COMMUNITY-BASED ACTIVISM AND THE ADVOCACY AID CHAIN

It's funny that some CBOs also look on the NGOs to work with, in the sense that some do not have an intimate relationship with their networks through sharing of Resouces and even the closest touch in what they take and have in terms of food items and meeting facilities.

some NGOs will never share mills with their partners in the community level nor even take Food from the community, this has been taken slightly but in most cases, it has shown the distance between the two in engaging each other. when engaging with the members of the community through CBO from NGO then the relationship touch will only be noticed in such events. Most of the facilities in the community are not in a better arrangement in a manner that most people who are living outside the slums will associate with, in this case, it's easy to find most of the implementation meetings taking place outside these areas not because they never have Meeting Rooms but because of someone somewhere who never see the safety in these areas and the environment as "standard" to them.

I took a walk around Mathare and saw the majority of institutions around this area belong to CBO's and thought about why is that Big organized giant not everywhere in these community but its kind of something that most of the people in the community do not understand its meaning even if they use their resources and sponsorship.

There are so many Private schools in slums compared to Government school, and they are doing a very great job for the people but some work in a very well private style, the majority of these NGO's  will chose individuals in the community to start projects and in the community leaving out the experienced institutions that have been there for a long time with the values and policies to run projects in the community. some pupils in schools of the communities will receive laters from their sponsors and never see them even after finishing their education.
